Todays evening walk was cancelled due to the weather forecast and just as well ! However even if no walk was possible 11 of us still met at the King Robert Hotel to put the world to right for a short time . As we sauntered in to a lovely room there awaiting were jugs of tea n coffee . Plus readily available 2 plates with various cakes and scones . We did , I have to admit serve ourselves (you just cant get the staff these days) but we put a brave face on it and managed . Far be it for me to point out that a few indulged in alcohol but no names no pack drill !
Lots of laughter and blethering were heard plus various snippits of news being exchanged as we drank , ate and supped away an hour or so . The walk will be put in for Tuesday the 18th of August and Christina has been advised to take a scythe when she checks out the walk .
Thanks to Christina for booking the hotel and we will persevere until we actually do this walk !
