My walk around Devilla Forest started with sunshine but a it was wee bit nippy. It wasn’t too long before jackets and jumpers were being stored in bags. All except Neil who seemed to be impervious to the lovely weather and kept his jacket and woolly hat on for the whole day. 
We couldn’t have had a better day to wander the tracks and paths around the forest and apart from very stoney path it was good going. The four lochs were as still as millponds and all were as pretty as a picture. It was very nice hearing comments on the plentiful birdsong, the scenery and even silence - but that was when we were eating. 
Some of the rhododendrons were bursting into bloom but it should be a very beautiful sight in another week or so.
We bumped into four ladies on horseback who didn’t mind us taking photos and it seems the horses were quite happy posing as well.
We couldn’t make a beeline for our usual haunt, The Puttery, as they were catering for a large party of Masons. So no room at the inn there and Marco’s was closed too. For a few of us it was tea and cakes at Klondyke.
