Overview

​Join us for a unique perspective of the local landscape as we summit Dumyat under the stars!

​This evening walk takes us from the Pendreich Forest car park up to one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Stirling area. While this is a popular hill, tackling it in the dark offers a fantastic new challenge and, weather permitting, spectacular views of the twinkling lights of Stirling, the Forth Valley, and the Ochil Hills.

​Route Details:

• ​Starting Point: Pendreich Forest Car Park.
• ​Route: We will follow the established hill path toward the summit.
• ​Terrain: The walk is primarily on well-maintained paths. However, please be aware that there are several rough and uneven sections, as well as muddy patches (especially after rain).

​Essential Gear:

• ​Lighting: As this walk will be conducted in total darkness, a high-quality torch or headlamp (with spare batteries/power bank) is mandatory. A phone light will not be sufficient for the terrain.
• ​Footwear: Proper walking boots with good ankle support and grip are required due to the muddy and rocky nature of the path.
• ​Clothing: It can be significantly colder and windier at the summit than in the car park; please bring warm layers and waterproofs.
